Born from a collaboration with accessibility experts and recognized with a GOOD DESIGN Award, this visionary park was designed to ensure children and families of all abilities can enjoy every corner. Every design choice was carefully considered to combine safety, creativity, and joy, creating a space that is not only accessible but also immersive, interactive, and inspiring. From the layout to the central play structures, the playground demonstrates how thoughtful design can make play a truly universal experience.
The playground is fully accessible, accommodating wheelchair users, children with visual or hearing impairments, and other disabilities. Key features include a central structure that allows wheelchair access to the second level, handrails along every ramp, tactile and visual angle markers, engraved entry signs for each feature, contrasting colors for low-vision accessibility, and sound-transmitting tubes for playful communication. Surrounding the main area, children can enjoy a double zipline with adaptive seats and shell-shaped seating for calm moments. Every element was designed to combine accessibility with adventure, making play inclusive, engaging, and empowering for all visitors.
