This project was created with a clear vision: to elevate the beachfront experience and transform a public coastal space into an inviting destination for families and visitors. The playground was designed as a natural extension of HaTzuk South Beach, blending seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, atmosphere, and rhythm of the sea. Every element was carefully considered to feel organic, calm, and connected to its environment.
Located directly by the sea, the playground required materials that could withstand salt, humidity, strong winds, and constant exposure to the elements. Robinia wood was chosen for its exceptional durability, strength, and natural resistance to weather, while maintaining a warm, natural appearance. For the swings, specially engineered stainless-steel structures were used, ensuring long-term corrosion resistance and safety in demanding coastal conditions.
The design draws inspiration from the surrounding seascape: climbing elements that echo nearby cliffs, a small boat for imaginative “sailing” play, and swings positioned to take in sweeping ocean views. Flowing lines and natural tones reflect waves and sea breezes, creating a calm yet engaging play environment. From architectural and engineering planning through custom production and installation, the project was guided with precision, focusing on durability, safety, and a memorable play experience.
